There are 2 steps:
Step 1: Find the amount of sales tax
Original x Rate (Remember to move your decimal)
Step 2: Find the new total by ADDING your answer to            step 1.

additional cost, we must add it to our original amount
to calculate our new total.
Sales tax is an additional cost on items that thegovernment collects in order to help pay for publicservices such as roads, hospitals, fire stations, police,and even schools!
