PARTICLES
In science a positive particle combined with a negative particle will cancel each
other out.  This is often referred to as being neutralized.

From this day forward a black disk represents a positive particle,
and a white disk will represent a negative particle.
How many positive particles?
How many negative particles?
If there are more white particles than black particles your number would be written with a positive or negative sign?
Since there is one positive disk without a match, the solution would be written as:
Pair up the positive and negative particles in the pictures below.
Example:
   1
We will use black disks to represent positive numbers
and white disks to represent negative numbers.
Positive and negative particles are like positve and
negative numbers.
Positive numbers are greater than
Negative numbers are
These two sets of numbers combined with zero make
up the set of numbers called integers.
zero. (-1,-2,-3)
(1,2,3...)
The set of integers can be shown on a number line.
-3-2-10123456
IS NEITHER POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE.
Remember black disks represent positive integers (+)and the white disks represent negative integers (-).
